Elle,
If you go on BBC IPlayer site there are numerous live matches to view. There is a whole section on Wimbledon.
You may have to download iPlayer if you don’t have it. It really is very simple.

Rusty, a Red Button update for you... at the moment, the BBC are only using one of their RB channels. I think we'll get more matches as the tournament progresses - well, I hope so! I think too that the BBC know that many people watch through the I-Player, whether on their televisions or on computers.

PS I watched three minutes of the Sharapova match - she still roars and screeches, I find it very off-putting!

Hello, Malone!
Sharapova is a shadow of the player she was....screeching apart.
She looked very listless.
She has just abandoned the match to Pauline Parmentier.
It was her non-hitting arm that was strapped.

Thanks for the update, Rusty. Sharapova was ahead when I was watching - another reason for me to abandon that match!

Good evening, Rusty!
Yes, the Red Button is strange phenomenon (is that how one spells it?)
As I said to you before, there is only one RB channel operative today.
But I have been fortunate in that all "my" matches were viewable.
Yes, it was good to see Roger win!
I was a tad (but only a very little) worried after his losing the first set to Lloyd Harris.
And what a talented young player!
There are some very good younger ones coming on the scene.......
That is good to see!
We have some quite good British players on the scene now, too..... good for the Davis Cup matches!
I did not know that Maria Sharapova had retired??
Angie Kerber is through ...and Petra Kvitova is reputedly playing extremely well.
She is a player to be reckoned with by all accounts.
Rafa is doing nicely...two sets up!
I am watching his match at the moment!

Hello, Malone!
Well, I was lucky today in that most of my matches were all shown on either BBC 1 or 2 , and the one operating RB channel!
I do not have a "Smart TV"! I do not even know what it comprises?
Nor do I have a laptop!

Thank you, Kenyatta, I am aware that a lot of the tennis can be seen on iPlayer, which, yes, I do have installed on my computer.
But, you see, this is a desk top.......I do not have a connection to my TV, nor do I have a laptop....so I prefer not to sit in front of the desktop monitor screen, at my desk, watching all day tennis as it's not the most comfortable situation!
I'll stick with what the BBC can offer me on my "simple" TV!

Good evening, Elle!
The vagaries of the Red Button choices!
Sharapova was 0-5 down in the third set and at the rest break she shook Parmentier's hand and that was that.
No more tennis for me today.
Have the football to watch shortly.
Wonder if Madison is playing tomorrow, and which court....and when?

Rusty, Madison's match is down as the fourth one on court 3 tomorrow. The Sharapova events sound distinctly odd!

Elle, I agree that watching tennis (watching anything) stuck in front of a computer screen is not ideal! I do it only occasionally. I had no choice when I bought the new television - 'thick' sets are very rare nowadays. The 'smartness' of the new sets is that they can be linked, wirelessly, to you Hub/internet thingy and then you can access all sorts of services, channels etc. I have ignored all of that and have stuck with my Freeview channels and my Humax recorder.

Hello, Malone!
Thanks for the tip-off!
I did not see the start of the Sharapova match so I don't know if she fell and hurt her arm or what.
It was her non-hitting arm, too.
At one point she had the young ball boy helping her to strap it.
And she was wearing one of those Elastoplast thingies on her nose.
I think they are meant to assist breathing.
And the match was almost over when she decided to chuck it.
I would give her few out of ten for effort, today!

Thanks again, Rusty. I'll watch 'Wimbledon Today' to see what - if anything - is said about Maria S's match. I also want to hear more about Bernard Tomic's match against Tsonga - the whole thing was over in less than an hour. Tomic has some history - a couple of years ago he admitted calling for the trainer when there was nothing wrong, for example - and a terrible attitude.

Hi, Rusty!
I am wondering whether Maria thought it sounded better to "retire injured", rather than be classified as "beaten by her opponent"?
A possibility?
Funnily enough, one of the commentators of the Federer/ Harris match remarked on how "coincidental" it could be that, when a player was losing, sometimes he developed an "injury" and needed the trainer.....!
I was unsure whether this remark was prompted at the time by Lloyd Harris' action on court.......
Or whether that incident just called to mind a parallel case.
But it might fit the bill with Maria, don't you think?
Madison Keys is due to play Perlona Hercog tomorrow at 4.15 pm on Court 3.
If you type in "Wimbledon tennis schedule" on Google , you will get a list of all matches for the day.
It also give the live results on there, so you can follow the progress of other tennis players, too.
