Hello, Elle!
I have not read about Andy's suggestion.
I am sure he knows what he's talking about, though.
I think they should do away with the second serve.
Or, at least try it out in a tournament.
I know I find the second serve irksome.
Wonder if he has thought of asking his Mum to partner him in the mixed dubs?
She looks fit enough!

Hi, Rusty!
I have just been talking to my cousin....
All is well up there.
And like us , they have been having lovely weather .
Uhmm, I am not sure about abolishing the second serve?
But I watched, at Queens, the other innovations to the Doubles matches, and thought they worked well.
And these are now used in all the big tournaments except Wimbledon, I think?
(I do still find it a little strange to see the score going straight from deuce to an outright win!)
Yes, I wonder who will partner Andy?

Good morning, Elle!
Nice and cool here, so far!
I've watched the Diamond League, or the events I was interested in.
I liked the track at Stanton.
Judy Murray says if her boys have to play each other in the dubs, she is not watching, she is going to the pub!

Good morning, Rusty!
Yes, a much cooler day here, too!
It was very pleasant out walking the dog.
I have the Diamond League recording at the moment......indeed, it may have just finished as it started at 9am
Any thing about the "High school" races?
They may not be shown on my "Highlights" only.
I shall watch the recording later this morning, after completing a few chores.
I am looking forward to seeing some tennis, too.
I must check today's schedule of play.
Judy Murray obviously has a sense of humour!
I like her comment!

Good afternoon, Elle!
Fine breezy day here!
I did not see anything of the high school races.
I was out with several granddaughters earlier today.
We had a grand time.
It's good to see the tennis players in "whites".
I prefer that to the coloured outfits they wear elsewhere.
Madison Keys won, I believe.
She was out on Court 17!
Judy has a definite sense of humour!

Hi, Rusty!
I had forgotten that you were going to the Pine Cone.
I am glad that you all had a great time!
I am only just home....
It has been such a lovely fresh day that we upped sticks at lunchtime..... and headed out for the afternoon.
I did all my chores early this morning, then watched the Diamond League Athletics.
Laura did well to come second to Faith Kipyegon in the 1500m, didn't she?
No, I didn't see or hear anything about any High school 100m races , either?
Very strange!
I saw Heather Watson win her first round match....and hear that Novak won his in three straight sets.
Yes, Madison Keys won, too!

Good evening, Elle!
A lovely coolish evening here!
Laura Muir did very well and so did Laura Weightman!
I tried Googling the high school 100 metres but it turned up an event in Texas!
I watched Putintseva beat Osaka, and after me mentioning tennis whites, I noticed Miss Putintseva was sponsored by Ariel, who I presume are the detergent makers?
Her kit was immaculate!
Was good to see Tracy Austin back co-commentating.
I always liked her.

I thought "Putintseva" was a great name for a tennis player!

Good evening, Rusty!
Did you watch Cori Gauff beat Venus Williams in two straight sets?
A fifteen year old against her great idol!
What a match!
Cori played superbly!
It was so nice to see Venus take her defeat so graciously, and speak so kindly to the young girl.
A few upsets today...the men lost seeds five and six......
Dimitrov went out....and young Tsitsipas lost his match, too.
Monfils retired injured.
I don't know Putintseva, but she did well to beat Osaka.
(I have a feeling I didn't like Osaka for some reason?)

Hello, Chris!
How is your sister?

Thanks for your interest, elle - not good, I'm afraid. She can't take in any solids, so is basically malnourished. No strength at all.

The better news is that their house is being fitted with the equipment to support her at home, possibly as soon as tomorrow (though the hospice was a lovely environment too - we were very impressed, and intend to make a contribution).
