I think possibly I have been told about "tent" for "wine" before?
But I had forgotten about it?
I didn't think of "ace" for "buff".
However, at least I knew that a tentacle is an organ!
So may I get a couple of Brownie points?

'Scunnered' is such a wonderful word, Rusty, I feel the whole world should know it - and use it more often! Elle can be in charge of spreading it throughout the south-east of England.

But I knew that you wanted to watch the Fats Domino documentary......I just didn't realise that the programme was tonight.
(I am recording "Casualty" whilst watching "The Voice". Usually the two programmes tend to overlap)
Yes, you are right - I did not know "scunnered"!
But Online Collins tells me it means " annoyed, discontented, or bored" or "nauseated or disgusted"
Now..... why ever should I feel any of those emotions had I to wait for an answer to my clue (see Malone did not want me "to feel scunnered")
I do not understand?

Perhaps "scunnered" would be a wee stretch for you a-waiting an answer, possibly "bored" though.
In Norn Iron they have "scundered" but the meaning is different.
