Good afternoon, Elle!
Yes, I agree, a good puzzle!
Ah, 27a crops up now and again.
It is "DJinni", a spirit of some kind or other.
A dj plays in a club, "in" in clue with NI.
25, Anne Bradford got for me!
A tea called " Bohea"
Sound tie is "bo", chap is "he", and "a"ssumed at first.
It is very windy here.
I have been out trying my bank card in various ATM's to no avail.
RBS are sending another card, which I hope works!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah yes, I can see the answers, and the parsings, of the two errant clues, now that you have very kindly explained it all to me.
All done and dusted now, thank you!
I am sorry that you are having trouble with your bank card.
I very rarely use the "hole- in- the-wall" cash points any more, since one of my friends had his card "cloned" by some gadget that had been fixed in the machine.
He recovered his money eventually, of course ...but it caused a lot of hassle!
I usually get cash back in Sainsbury's supermarket.
Hopefully , your new card will arrive soon.
It is raining fairly heavily here...dog and I have been out in the garden, but I am foregoing the walk this afternoon.

Hello, Elle!
Well done on solving your puzzle!
I use the ATM's regularly, Elle.
I am an old throwback who prefers to use cash if at all possible.
I have heard of these clone machines.
I have never used cash back, but I am going to my dentist tomorrow and must pay my bill, so instead of cash I will used my card and ask for cash back.
How much can they give me, Elle?
I dealt on the 'phone with a very nice girl at RBS, (she was in Liverpool!) and she promised me a new card in five days.
It is a fine day here, but windy!

Hi, Rusty!
I am the reverse!
I hate carrying much cash about with me, so use my debit card for most payments.
I am not quite sure what you are asking, Rusty?
If your card is not working, I doubt you will be able to ask for cash back?
It may, though, be different at a supermarket till, from a hole-in -the -wall?
I do not know how the system works?
I am sure the Asda staff will be able to tell you that in the morning.
I think £50 is the maximum? but that might be wrong.......
That is the maximum I have ever asked for at Sainsbury's.
But I am sure if you have a problem with ready cash, your dentist will happily wait till you have your new card, and you can then pay your bill.
I hope you sort it out.
Still raining heavily here!

Hello, Elle!
My card is not working at ATM machines.
I do not know if it will work at tills, or not.
But, when I go to my dentist, the lady always asks if I want to pay by card, or not.
I always pay with cash, but tomorrow I'll ask her to take money from my card for my bill, and give me cash back.
If that does not work, I'll head to a branch of my bank for money.
That was the advice the Liverpool lass gave me, until my new card arrives.

Hi, Rusty!
I am afraid that I cannot help here, as I did not think that you would be able to pay with your card at the dentist, if the card is not working?
Nor did I think that individual enterprises, like the dentist , or a corner shop, for instance, could give cash back?
That is new to me......
But with luck, your new card might arrive within 24 to 48 hours...my husband's Barclaycard did , when he lost the original!
Is this visit to the dentist just the check up for your dry mouth?

Hello, Elle!
I have no idea if my card will work at my dentist as I have never used it there.
Maybe my dentist will not give cash back.
I will not know until I ask, but it would save me going to a bank branch, if they could, you see.
I'll see what they say.
My trip to dentist is for a filling and a scale and polish.
Just a short visit!

Hi, Rusty!
Your card will certainly work at the dentist under normal circumstances, but I am doubting that it will do so, when it doesn't work at the ATM.
But I guess you can but try.....
I had forgotten that you needed a filling......courtesy of polo mints!
There is a moral there somewhere...!
My daughter phoned late today...
She is doing volunteer teaching on Monday evenings.
This is something to do with IT, but the ins and outs of the course went over my head.
It is good of her, though, to give up her time.
Her husband is putting the boys to bed!

Hello, Elle!
Not a problem if my card does not work at dentist.
I'll go to bank.
It's their card that willn't work and they should give me money, I hope.
I am expecting no problems at dentist or bank.
Hopefully a positive attitude will stand me in good stead!
It is super of your daughter to give her time to volunteer work.

Hi, Rusty!
I have just been watching the last episode of "Cold Feet".
I do hope that in time there will be yet another series......I have enjoyed it.
I am gradually, slowly but surely, catching up with all the accumulated recordings that I have made....
I think I might like to watch something,, record it, but then somehow don't get around to viewing it!
And often the programme just ends up deleted!
But this time , I am gradually clearing the decks!
I still have Vera Brittain's "Testament of Youth " to watch.
Did you ever watch that?
I know we were discussing it at one point?
