Hello, Elle!
Yes, Mikaela got to interview her idol!
It was good fun!
And two great champions!
Roger likes rigatoni....I do not think I have ever had that.
I only know of it from answers in the puzzles!
Yes your game plan sounds fine.
Hope you enjoy the athletics, now!

Hi, Rusty!
Well, I now have straightish, ie less curly , hair!
That will last until I go out in the damp!
I enjoyed the remainder of the Athletics.
Wasn't Laura brilliant!
A new Indoor mile record!
Eididh did well in her race, as did Asha Philip in hers.
Asha was only just beaten by Elaine Thompson, whom I actually didn't recognise......
Didn't she look different?
and Reece Prescod was a very close second to Su.
Our athletes are doing well!
I'd better go and see about dinner!
Have you had yours?

I have had great trouble trying to post this...
Captcha wouldn't let me send it !

Hello, Elle!
Laura was very good indeed!
I only saw her and Eilidh's races.
Jemma did not run, I think she had a bug.
I like Elaine Thompson, too, pity I missed her.
Yes, I had my tea ages ago.
I had a mackerel.
Just had oatcakes for my supper!

Update, Elle!
I meant to mention....
There was a letter in The Times today from Biddy Baxter, of Blue Peter fame.
She is backing the idea of a statue to Richmal Crompton!

Hi, Rusty!
I watched all of the Athletics programme...and now I have finished watching "The Voice."
Far too much television! but that is just the way it panned out today.
I have been recording "Casualty" for another time of viewing.
I wonder where they plan to put the statue of Richmal Crompton?
Do you know?
I would think the most logical place would be in Bury, as that is where she was born?
I enjoyed the "Just William" books - William was a real character... and I remember Violet, too!

Hello, Elle!
I watched a lot of TV today, too.
Even a football game this evening.
Richmal had a strong connection with Bromley, so perhaps there somewhere.
Yes, the William stories were very good.
She wrote lots for adults, too.

Now, all rise for the President of the United States of America!

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
We have a glorious day here!
It has everything...blue sky, sunshine ...and is relatively mild!
I hope it is the same for you?
I have just watched "President Trump"!
I wonder will this guy do for Trump what Mike Yarwood did for Harold Wilson?
Although I guess the difference there was that Mike was especially talented, and his impersonations of Harold Wilson were done with a degree of affection - I liked Harold myself - and everyone watching appreciated this.
But there can be no doubt that Mike's constantly "taking off" Harold Wilson did much for Harold's public image!
I wish there were a second day of Athletics......
What are you up to today?

Good morning, Elle!
Great day here, too.
Been a great February so far!
Mike Yarwood was brilliant, I thought.
A very talented man, and yes, he was Harold to a "T"!
I have the day to myself.
Miss O has been fighting a bug all week so she is best staying home from Pine Cone today, we think.
I have the men's slalom to watch.
The last day of the skiing World Championships, sadly.

Here is a clip of Mikaela Shiffrin's winning run, and Wendy Holdener's disaster!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, Mike Yarwood was fantastic...…
I am thinking back to his various impersonations, and smiling at the thoughts and images conjured up!
I well remember his impression of Robin Day...and of fictional characters "Frank Spencer" and "Alf Garnet".....
There were obviously many others too!
I doubt your man on "America's Got Talent" would / indeed 'could'/ do for Donald Trump what Mike did for Harold?
Trump (I hope) is a lost cause!
I have just watched your clip - poor Wendy! - but Mikaela was terrific!
( I am still envying her, her chat with Roger!)
I hope Miss Orlando will feel better soon!
I am doing the Sunday Times Cryptic...
I couldn't face another Everyman of similar ilk to last week's puzzle.

Hello, Elle!
I remember on Mike's show that he had June Brown doing Mrs Thatcher, and she was super, too!
I do not know the lad's name who did Trump but I think that's the only one he does, whereas Mike Yarwood did a lot, and all of them very well!
Eddie Waring was one I remember him doing, and he was superb at Eddie!

Yes, Mikaela flew down the mountain.
She's the best woman slalomer ever, I think, and her record proves that, and she is still young!
I liked in her clip with Roger, that she felt she could not simply call her hero "Roger" in conversation, so she addressed him as "my idol"!
Another thing I noticed in the "interview" was that Roger referred to his "granny" rather than his "grandmother" which impressed me, such is his command of English.
It was a good fun clip!
I've suggested to Miss O if she feels a bit better later today, that she visits her Gran for tea.
That is her usual routine and Gran and Granddad would love to see her.
She is usually immune to bugs, so this is a bit of a rarity!
Good luck with your puzzle!
