greedykite, I still can't get 19D! I've done most of it now - just a couple of the themed ones and 4 down clues left.

20D I thought was easy but it seems reversed, to me. It's 'at home' followed by a verb meaning to blow your money on something, the whole thing being part of an English phrase for the police: the boys.....

Hadn't thought of that word as a verb!
19d refers to the saying "All .... lead to Rome", except that here the less usual synonym is used to sound (with the "all" bit) like an adverb meaning "for good" -- right?!
It's so easy when you see the light -- and that's what I love about the dear old fellow! Hope he had at least a bearable Easter --- and you, too! Here it's unusually cold, windy & rainy for SW France.

All but done and haven't really enjoyed it, I'm afraid. Too much guesswork involved and I found the down clues very obscure. Still can't come up with anything for 7d. Any (very tenuous) hints more than welcome. The clue is ' Italian food is the rage, including frozen items left in the wrong place' (5,4).
