Hi tornface - 99 appears to be bugging us all. Bet we will all kick ourselves when we discover the answer.

There's no mistake in 99, Suki. Most of the entries I've received so far have got it right, so I don't think I've made it an unreasonably difficult clue.

On a different subject, would anybody care to suggest a theme for the next quiz? So far I've done British placename, famous women, & foods. Any ideas or requests, anyone.

Thanks as always to all who support Macmillan Cancer Support through these quizzes.

singers/bands?
i know other people have done it but yours are the only quizzes i do (never much cared for them but got the 'famous women' and liked a it lot).
...or famous inventions?
btw. like some others, i've had this winter/food quiz done for a while now apart from #99.Grrr, i know the clue off by heart (where does that phrase come from?)
have a great Christmas. x

Just got 99! It's not actually that hard. Separate the first two words and you'll get it.

Thanks MQ. That was great fun, I realised today that if I wanted to scan it, I would have to finish it by Thursday. Is a scanned entry ok? I'm worried about my handwriting.

A scanned entry is fine so long as it is not in a very unusual format. Merry Christmas.
