A convoluted preamble today Kruger. Can someone help please with a couple of clues which will help me move to the next step. Favour arranging Chinese adopting child (6) one word is redundant. The answer will begin with U or V, X Y or Z. Also Being honest, solemn mischievous child right to be shunned (6) beginning letter E through to H.

For the first one, If you remove the redundant word you will find the answer written in. Hope this helps.
Still stuck on the other one myself

"mischievous child right" is the usual 3 letter word for the first two, with usual single letter for third deducted from 10 letter word

Solved all clues, filled the grid, got the message, … stuck. Some of the 7 words are obvious, but the 3-letter one is odd. The title reinforces the idea that I’m looking for a particular type of sustenance, but (perhaps because of earlier excess) that’s as far as I can get.

I filled in the 7 unclueds after finding "that which must be highlighted," and then Googling. The unclueds in row 9 look odd but they are there. Very strange theme, unless this is very well known in the UK. Was Kruger well paid for the product placement?

The title does give a bit of a clue if you think outside the box Jockie. It did take me a lot of googling as well.
