Absolutely agree muraria. Discovering the character and the song is key to solving this masterpiece. Some extremely difficult clues and very well disguised extra letters. Hats off to Kirsanov!

Just to say, I could only find 6 words which after treatment left real words, but that was probably enough.

I'm doing OK in the top half but struggling further down. Can someone give me a steer for 20d - Asian natives heading for Iran boarding wheeled carriage (non-smoker) (8,may contain an extra letter)

Sloth, 20d. def. is 'Asian natives'. One letter inside 'wheeled carriage' (5) (in Bradford's) + an abbreviation for 'non-smoker'.

Hello I have enjoyed this puzzle which is complete except for 34 across - is anyone able to help me please. In the grid I have ?acae? And I know the letters that need to be used for the full answer
