I can see letters 1 and 2, then 3,4,5 from the ends of two words in the clue.

But the five letters of the second word?

Apropos nothing at all…

Here in Ireland our number plates are non-transferable, so bagging a ‘personalised plate' demands some cunning/luck. Our plates are a model of directness, eg, year - 2005 = 05, followed by county - eg Mayo = MO, followed by number, say 515, (which was bagged by a water treatment company based in Mayo)
