2D is entertaining but could have either of two second words (and I can’t get 15A). One answer allows 8D to work by rejecting all but the first two & last letters of 2D.
Also stuck on 3A & 7D despite hint. And I still can’t parse 21D or 14D. Any further hints appreciated.

14d "fawn" is a verb. There's a three letter abbreviation for "territory" included.

I find it strange that people are having problems with 21d. The "city" code is common in crosswords.

Typically, I’ve now worked out 3 & 7 but still stuck on 17A & on parsing 21D & 14D

As discussed earlier, 3a isn't a good clue. It's an anagram. The answer is actually in French, though recognisable in the UK.

Aaaah - there’s a third poss for 2D so I was wrong about its involvement in 8D.
