Found this extremely frustrating , some clues very easy others very difficult and impossible to parse. Having finally struggled to the finish with enormous help from forum and word solvers I enjoyed the challenge . Some exceptional clues , brilliant compiler probably too advanced for me.

Thanks Rocky, but I don't have much hope, especially after today's loss.

Tricky. I'm sure there's a nina but struggling to find it, other than I think row 11 must be at least part. I think this is 48, but the setter popped up on 15^2 not long ago to say that 47 and 48 (i think) were appearing out of order, and that 48 was obscure. But perhaps I'm misremembering the numbers.

Thanks Khayyam.

We’ve had 46 (Peaks in the Adirondacks) and the last one was 48 (the Well-tempered Clavier).

I found the original post and Pangakupu said that “48 will precede 47 in publication order, for editorial reasons”. So this is most likely 47 (or perhaps 49 with 47 yet to come).

Thanks Jono. 47 then I reckon, I guess I missed 48. Tautau seems to be something like dangling like a bunch. But no idea if there's more, or how it relates to 47.

Just an idea, but if row 11 is referring us to look for a year, I note that 1947 was the year in which NZ achieved full constitutional independence from the UK.
I’ll defer to BuzzyBee on the translation as he (like our setter) is in NZ.
