7d would surely be better as “church welcomed by” rather than “church welcoming”.

Rows 3, 7 and 11 seem to translate as “play again, sing, year year” which means nothing to me but I’ve not been following what’s gone before.

Filled the grid, bur not at all sure about 24a, or the parsing of 23d.

I read 25a and burst out laughing, read it to my daughter, who got it immediately.

Never heard of 10a, but Google confirmed.

24a also my LOI, parses 4,1.
Similar to a clue for BUSH we had a while ago.

23d add four letters meaning ‘still’ to the end of the solution.

Dont think row 7 can be, Jono, cos it features a letter not found in the appropriate.

Have finished but I'm not seeing the parsing for 23d, any hints?

jono@15 posted a good hint for 23d.
Append a 4-letter word for "still" to the solution and you'll see a cricket-related term.

A good if slightly easy prize crossword on the whole – thanks Pangakupu! – though like others I was somewhat befuddled by the parsing for 23d: I could partly see what was going on, but not fully. However, in a light bulb moment I have just cracked it! It parses as 2,2 where the first 2 is a common 2-letter written abbreviation for a certain 6-letter word; and the second 2 is another 6 letter word with 4 letters removed (indicated by the latter part of the clue).
