The clues...
Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Any additional information or special instructions, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
Hints only, please,no answers.

The theme...
Help with the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be on the gentle side, really just a pointer in the right direction - and certainly not anything that would spoil the puzzle for others.

If anyone feels that too much information has been given or that theme is being revealed, please let Norah, the site administrator know, by using the 'Report This Post' button. Norah errs on the side of caution, anything iffy is likely to be removed.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

I have very much enjoyed solving about 2/3 of the clues up to this point. I am somewhat fearful about the level of fiddliness that might be involved in finishing this off. We shall see .....

SH - well, it does all work out in the end (!), but it was quite a struggle to avoid making logical errors - the last few entries were quite tough to complete correctly.I can't imagine how the setter went about constructing this puzzle - much appreciated, Smidgers. Some very clever clues too!

My fears were largely unfounded. Slightly fiddly at the end, but generally very enjoyable. And an impressive feat of construction as you say.

It seems to me to be a flaw that solving some of the clues adds nothing, since the answer is a known jumble anyway.

It is fiddly to complete, but not especially difficult.

Iratus, how is that different from a normal puzzle with some entries without unches?

Nice puzzle, with a decent logical challenge in the jumbled clues, especially those not initially cold solved!

Thanks, Smidgers.

Enjoyable and a stretch. The structure was some help along the way, but easy to get lost without a good proportion of the clues solved. Thank you, Smidgers!

Good to see people solving this one. I had the idea nearly three years ago. Will say more once the deadline's over. Happy solving, all!

I hope I don't just speak for myself in thanking you for commenting and for setting this, Mr Soup. It was a lot of fun.

I giggled like a loon when the grid fill worked out (it took quite a long time to code in QXW). It's a really simple idea which is really complicated to put into practice (and solve!) which to me is the mark of a lovely puzzle. Glad you enjoyed it.
