Please could someone help with 4D and 11A. I think I have the answers but have no idea of the parsing for either. Also, although I have a full grid, I have no idea what to highlight.

4d. is a word for 'rather odd' minus R for queen
11a. original answer is an abbreviated word for a particular type of muscle (3) + 'man'. The entry gains an E and passes on an H

Yes I have got the theme from the passed letters and see the connection to the title but then I'm stumped.

Have you googled T G C O B? You get a list of 7 categories. Six of which are represented in alternate lines in the grid
