There seems to be 2 possibilities for the third letter of 9? Does that get resolved by the end game?

Also can't see what the last letter of 2 is

Re 2, on is the definition. The letter of 9 is resolved by the crosser.

Smellyharry, I think you’re right, the third letter of 9 is slightly ambiguous and is unchecked. I took it to be the one where Chambers gives exact wording used in the clue. The alternative could mean the same, but shows slightly different wording. However I could be wrong as cannot find one of the erected items in my completed grid!
