Glad tidings I bring...

The clues...
Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Any additional information or special instructions, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
Hints only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help with the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be fairly gentle in nature - just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction, and certainly not anything that would spoil the puzzle for others.
Anyone who feels that too much has been revealed should contact the Site Administrator - email her at Norah.evoluted@aol.com. Norah errs on the side of caution, so anything at all iffy is likely to be removed.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

I have a complete grid, the instruction, and have applied it. Just not entirely sure how to illustrate the final end-game. Highlighting?

Don’t think highlighting is necessary

Nice puzzle, and nice twist that resolves everything.

We're not asked to highlight anything, so I haven't.

Thanks, Lionheart.

I have made two changes to the final grid, which must surely be what is wanted, but I can't for the life of me see how the message is instructing me to do this. I shall sleep on it before sticking it in an envelope in the hope that light dawns.

I have an ambiguity in the way to enter the first word from 7 (two possible places for the two letters, each checked by a down). Does the end-game resolve this?

I have ambiguities in several of the entries where a cell could contain two letters. I've agonised over this aspect for longer than it took me to fill the rest of the grid.

Yes, simond9x, I'm in the same boat.

If in doubt the endgame resolves any ambiguities
