The clues...
Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Special instructions or any additional information, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
Hints only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help with the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be fairly gentle in nature - just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction. Avoid giving any information that would spoil the puzzle for others.
If you do feel that too much has been revealed, please contact the site administrator - Norah.evoluted@aol.com. Norah errs on the side of caution, anything at all iffy is likely to be removed.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

I thought this was rather good. A tricky little endgame until you fully appreciate its intricacies, and a few quirky clues. But the final result is unambiguous, whatever you might think at first. Cheers, Demoniacal

In my view, shortened words combined with missing letters tend to allow anything to act as wordplay for anything. But actually there's no ambiguity, and the endgame is clear once one gets the lines right.

Good puzzle, with somewhat off-beat but fair clues. It all fits together, confirming the lines.

Interesting choice of theme, given recent history.

Thanks, Demoniacal.

Well, I have a full grid and the theme (11 clue numbers add up to 195) but I cannot parse 13,33,2,6,11 and 31. That makes proceeding to the end game rather difficult.

I don't want to say too much this early.

For 2, you may not have exactly the right answer. For the others, Chambers will help if you look up the right thing.

My thanks to Demoniacal, too. A setter name well justified by most of the clues! (33 in particular had me spluttering into my tea.) I was convinced that I had the initial letters wrong but what seemed like a jumble was indeed as promised by the preamble and the endgame was as fun as it was novel and ingenious.

I am slightly ahead of Gitto, in that I have a full grid and the theme, but cannot parse 6 or 11 down. According to the Chambers app, there is only one option for each of these entries and I have all 11 letters of the theme from other clues. I therefore believe that there are no unclued letters in 6 and 11 down, but confirmation of this would be appreciated, if that is allowable.

Please disregard my last post. It is garbage.

0pt0, I believe that both of those clues have a missing letter. 6 down definitely has.
