I didn't have to pay.

I can't understand "forever" in 12a

There seemed to be a lot of anagrams today

Hi Chris, I agree about the number of anagrams. I suppose “forever” implies something more habitual than a one off action, but the “?” is doing some heavy lifting.

Ahh, thanks Yevrah, got it now! I was on completely the wrong track. I was thinking it would be something backwards (picked up) but that would only really make sense in a down clue anyway.

I love the Everyman, and this forum (even though I don't post every week, I always read it). So, like you, I very much hope everyone will continue with it.

No money, yet.

COD - 2 closely followed by 4.

12 raised a smile here, too.

Can anyone help me parse 14 down? I’ve worked out the solution but can’t understand the wordplay.

Hi Helenjane
14d is a subtractive anagram. "Hint of nervousness" is just N - I don't like this clueing!

I was able to get in but it did involve me having to change my password that I set up last week and not go in via the ad blocker.

Fairly easy offering from Everyman this week mainly due to the number of anagrams. I liked 9a as my COD.

Ah well, it was fun while it lasted but £16/m is too much for any news source.

Cheerio all
