Registered last week, and got into the interactive Everyman for free with no issues this week. Opera browser, which may have helped (for the time being at least).
As for the puzzle itself, definitely one of two halves. I thought I'd never get going in the NW corner, but then a few crossers helped. By contrast, the whole of the bottom half seemed almost quick crossword level - loads of hiddens, primarilies and anagrams. All done in about two minutes.

Same experience as you phil, both in terms of getting free access having registered last week and in terms of the crossword itself. Top right tricky, but I liked 5d.

Ironically, I logged straight into the Everyman with no fuss or demands for money but needed about twenty goes to get into here.

A very quick (by my standards) 9.31 for me today, I know some people will hate 12a but it made me chuckle.

Thanks for the links Darla and Jono. I’ll keep on while it’s free. After twenty odd years of Everyman, it may be time to move on to the more challenging ones. I like the i but I also like this forum which has become part of my routine. Thanks to you all!

P.S. Swarbrules is a great handle…I’m guessing you’re a Fairport fan?

I registered last week, and had no problem accessing it today, so will see what happens in future weeks.

Enjoyable solve, though quite challenging. Lots of anagrams. Good rhyming pair.

Stuck on LOI - 26a:
Slice of memory; snack picked up (4) _Y_E

Good day all. Have not posted for some weeks, frustrated by the changes, annoyed by the likely charging, irritated by the poor interface (lack of clue numbers and letter counts) and also had many problems getting onto this forum. So am undecided on what next. Agree with many sentiments.

And then of course, most posts are now about the system and not the puzzle itself. Grrr.

Enjoyed today's a lot after a titanic struggle - complete blank on first perusal.

Then, slowly with a few crossers, began to fill in. I guess 19a is my CoD as that sums it all up really.

I think i will carry on, price will be steep but might cancel something else. Have been doing Everyman since a teenager, introduced to it by my mum, so it's a bit of a homage to her. Dad never did crosswords and read another paper. I would have read the FT if I'd had a pink bathroom (ha ha NTNON!)

Love this forum so hope most of you will stay.

Best wishes.
