A rare event being first to post.

A tricky Everyman this week, I have finished but am not confident about some solutions.

I like the rhyming pair so give them my RPOD if I can introduce a new initialism.

I think the primary is terrible and see no point to them unless they present a meaningful sentence.

Awkward 4 letter clues as well.

All in all, at the tougher end for me.

Wishing you all a good day.

Morning Yevrah,
I’m looking at a pairing of antonym prefixes rather than a rhyming pair.
I think I have everything parsed. 18 is an odd word I’ve never seen used. 21a required some looking up of one of the components. There’s one construction that will be fresh in the mind for those who did yesterday’s Guardian.

Good puzzle,
Cheers all.

You are right jono, not a rhyming pair, but you know what i mean, the long related down clues.

Agree on the two questionable clues 18d and 21a. 18d especially.

Yep, 18d was LOI for me and the two 21s raised more of a frown than a smile. Four 'name' answers seems a bit excessive, too.

Agree with the comments so far. LOIs were 21a and 21d. Can’t parse all of 21a.
Didn’t enjoy this as much as in recent weeks, but some nice clues including 17a, 3d and 7d.
Not complaining. Long may Sunday mornings = Everyman.

Yes a little tricky. I'm still staring at my LOI 10D wondering what I am not seeing. I'm confident of my crossers _ R _ T, clue is "Rejected legal wrong in red".

Any help would be appreciated!

Nicoladawn, think of evening as in smoothing and what you might use for this.
Justsolve, 10d is a reversal. Red in the political sense.

Agree with all the remarks on both 21s - have stared at them for ages without any inspiration! One of the less enjoyable Everymans for me

A civil wrong - reversed - giving an abbreviation of a well known Russian

The 21s required two trips to the word search engine and a read of this forum to fall into place and I still don’t understand the Olympic honcho and I don’t like hypothetical words as in 18d, but otherwise all good. Thanks Everyman.
I hope what follows isn’t too much of a spoiler

21a requires some lateral thinking: not the most obvious use of plant and a whimsical use of evening. 21d doesn’t make sense without 21a, at least, that’s how I see it.
