Quite a tough one until I got the theme
FOI 10a LOI and a COD 15d. Got 1a and 23a, the 1st two words helped me but I cannot see the relevance in the last two words. An enjoyable crossword so thanks to Kite

Once again it was beyond me. I looked up a few answers, but have only filled in half - mainly the top half. I can't parse a number of them and with others don't understand the answer. I see the theme, but can't be bothered to google a list.

I hope we get an easier one soon. Otherwise I shall have to give up trying to do the crossword every Saturday. There are many other things I could do with my time.
