Good fun and a relatively quick solve. Is 20A slightly inaccurate or am I missing something?

10a reminded me of something. I've tracked it down to Thurber's "Fables of our time". A link would be a spoiler!

Chris - 20 is Catholic.

10 - my cockney friend, who is here 40 years and hasn’t lost it, says it a lot.
