Regarding last week’s crossword (which I have yet to finish). 
Does it not violate the principle that it’s supposed to be a crossword? In that as you solve clues, checked letters give you more information. The spinning and jumping (and approx half of each trapdoor) give almost zero information until you have most clues solved, so the puzzle seems to me to be a jigsaw not a crossword. Of course, I could just be missing something…
From scanning the thread, it sounds like an excellent construction. Just wondered if anyone else had the same thought, or indeed a rebuttal!
