Have you got the right solution to 7A, mine doesn't end in E, maybe it should though?

RedPete, my ending for 7A doesn't end in E and works perfectly well...

Apologies to all, I assume the E comes from 8D. I still can't work out what's going on, maybe not always 1 letter?

Note to self: check my copy before opening my mouth to put my foot in it.

If I recall the clue correctly it fits at the bottom of one of the long down columns

I have the answer but I cannot see where to fit it in. I have it left over having I thought got everything else right! I have obviously gone badly wrong somewhere and if I knew where it should be I could possibly unravel everything else!!

Time for my traditional wave... always interesting to see how you go about solving a puzzle. Fun to set (and remarkably easy once I'd had the idea).
