Just one more query why capital letters for Mark, Herb and Obstruction?

Thanks Brendan. I had the answer with a slightly different spelling, a w on the end. All finished now.

dhope, I believe Mark and Herb are capitalised for misdirection: trying to get solvers to think about celebs with those names. Obstruction is less clear. My guess is still misdirection but via disguised definition.

Finished, very much joint effort with husband, but before reading any forum posts. Used CrosswordSolver just once: was fairly sure of last 7 letters of 11a but couldn't get any further: the one answer it came up with was the right one, and obvious once you know it.

FOI 6 or 10 (he can't remember)
LoI: 13

Cod: difficult, but I liked 12d.
