Hi everyone

Finding this hard as I usually do with Brummie and have still to get five in SE corner. I've guessed at a number of answers and then checked with Dan Word, then worked out th parsing. I think I know the answer for 14ac, but cannot see why. I have yet to get 15d. I don't know any singers let alone Canadian ones. I'm not that good around cars either, but I expect I can google 22d as the hint above for 26 has given me the last letter. I can't fully parse 12d, but have the right answer. So, I think hints for 15d, 19d and 24ac might see me finish.

Difficult to give hints without spoiling. For now I'll just say that 19d isn't a proper word.

It's not the right singer, but for 15d, if I said "....and the Belmonts"?

I think I have finished including 19d, but can't fully parse it. I knew the herb for 24ac, which grows well in my garden, but it took ages to remember its name. I got the car dealer and 15d (I remembered the singer, but can't parse the rest.) I liked a number of clues, especially 5d, which I guessed from some crossers, then worked out why. I got the second word of 20ac, which led to the answer.

My FOI was 1ac, My LOI was 15d. My CODs which I got earlier were 23ac, 5ac and 11ac. I also liked 6d and 8d.

I was pleased to see the rain, which has stopped here. We've had a bumper crop in our greenhouse of tomatoes, so today I made soup for lunch. It was delicious.

Really satisfying and happy to say I finished it without having to rely on hints. Laughed out lout when I solved 5D.

I can't decide on th last letter of 24A!
