I have EXCEED as something that can't be 'topped', as it were, but am not entirely convinced.

I zipped through this issue's xword also, but one answer is giving me doubt.
19 acc (5) Hull: first class return in stages.

I had PODIA - POD was the hull and AI the first class in return. But ''Podia'' is giving me some concern, I can find no definition that fits ...

Any help greatly appreciated.
