All done apart from I can't get the second word in 7d. It's probably obvious but I'm not seeing it. Any hints welcome.

Brilliant clues and theme related references everywhere. Another masterpiece imo from Brockwell. Hard to pick a COD but I loved both 17d and 27a.

I think 7d is the weakest clue here. I had a perfectly valid wrong word first. The actual answer implies an attendee.
