I have no problem at all with Paul’s humour - quite the contrary in fact. It was the trick that I found tiresome, mainly because in my view it doesn’t actually work.

I would say you need to be British born and of a certain age to understand 13d ... even being so, it took me a long time to dredge that one out of my memory!

Well an easier workout than the last few weeks of DNFs.

Enjoyed cracking this one while sat in the garden in the shade of the parasol...right up until 10A, which is my LOI and is eluding me.

Any way of giving me a nudge without being too explicit?

Not sure about the theme really - picked it up pretty quickly from 17A (FOI) though I chuckled at 3D.

10 is a double definition: name and (chiefly US) slang.

In my view, of the thematics only 22a works proper(l)y.

Agreed, rogissimo - there's an unexplained extra letter in all the others.

15a eludes. Any hint would be appreciated.

Paul puzzles often seem to have different slants. Maybe that is deliberate.

An enjoyable crossword
FOI 24d LOI 15a COD 13d 20a 3d
I agree that if you are not British you would have to google green goddess in order to have any chance of getting 13d but an excellent clue

Hi minno
15a is doubly loose - a word that sort of means forget around a word that sort of means rule. It's a sugar.
