Both this puzzle and Azed were posted at just about midnight UK time, as they were last week, after a few weeks of being posted somewhat later. So the UK night owls and overseas solvers can go back to their old routines, it seems.

The puzzle was perfectly fine, as always.

Everyman up and running. Nice and gentle as an Everyman should be but, no AZED yet. Still showing last week's.

The parsing for "troubles" in 27a. held me up a bit, but I eventually got it.
Thanks for the link to Azed, Buddy. Still not showing in the PDF list here.

Nice and gentle today. I didn’t even look for it until 5.00 CET. Perhaps too many anagrams for my taste.

Hi Mattrom,

27a - I encountered the same problem with "troubles" but, unlike you, mine remains unresolved.

If I've read it correctly, the synonym for "troubles" goes around/'overwhelming' "perhaps foil". But Chambers thesaurus gives the synonym as "trouble" not "troubles"

Good day all. Woke very early, few solutions for me on my first run through then they started dropping into place with crossers.

I note the comment about a lot of anagrams. I agree.

Rhyming pair, primarily no spoonerism.

Not got my points for completion yet so I must have an incorrect letter somewhere. But that won't stop me snoozing.

Have a good day.

And indeed that was the case, corrected a letter and was rewarded.

Hi Brendan,
re 27a. I finally took it in the sense of "to bear one's (synonym for troubles)" I think "trouble" and "troubles" could be interchangeable in many sentences.
