that was a struggle - greatly helped by jono's grid, for which much thanks, again ... believe I've solved the 12d anomaly. But I have 4 letters from 21-28d which seem superfluous to me ...

Hi Prospeo, For 21d my thinking was Fortepiano usual abbreviations, take one away for thematic reasons, followed by a shortened version of what I believe Snoop Dog may have done... Wasn't entirely happy with this, but hey ho. For 28 I went with a broadcast medium (not TV, the more civilised one) minus the first letter for thematic reasons and usual symbol for current...

BTW, I agree, Prospero. This one took a few whacks with a hefty stick before it stopped twitching. But all the more fun for that....

if you are entering 1a (12 letters) in 23a (8 letters) - you seem to have figured out the instruction.

I was hoping instruction will become clear with an example. For 12d, I have all the crossers that can yield only one 11 letter word, which has nothing to do with its clue.

So, I have not got the instruction. No problem with 21d, 28d

I guess i must get that answers to the 6 clues, before wondering where/how to enter them. Quite frustrating.

Hi Ilippu, I think you're nearly there - so close if you've the 1ac/23ac swap. The theme is not my area of expertise, so I had to Google it. (It's 3 words and you have the second 2, I think, looking back through posts.) I was naively swapping let's say 'left' for 'right' until I Googled and found it was just a little bit more complicated...

Hi again Illipu, Have you got any of the mystery 6? Ignore the positions and word lengths to start with and treat them per se. You will see a yin yang pattern appearing to start with - at least that's how I got around to smacking my head with tea tray

replied earlier but it seems to have got lost. Must have expressed myself poorly ... I have all the solutions and the two long words of the instruction, but I am left with the four extra letters from clues 21-28 which seem superfluous - and meaningless!
