That one gave me serious brain ache! Tough but fair. The NW corner took longer than all of the rest, a lot to like …. COD 13a or 27a

Clever puzzle and on the challenging side IMO. Lot of distractions, so worked on and off and can't recall FOI or LOI.

Lucked out with the NW because I know 9 and got it right away. Also saw a couple of the long ones quickly. But I feared a DNF for quite a while.

COD tied between 3 and 10.

Well, that might be the longest it's ever taken me to complete an Everyman, at least in the last few years.

There are still 2 I can't parse: 2d where my answer means "ring to one who's not intended" but I can't work out the why "offer" gives us that, and 6d where I can't see how "hearing's parallel" fits in - is it a homphone or is Everman saying the answer is 'parallel to hearing' bacause it's one of the F??? S?????

I think that your parsing of 6d is correct. At least, it is the same as mine;-)
I also could not see why “offer” was there.
BTW … thanks for a “challenging” (= frustrating) 60 minutes Friday morning!

Brendan, on 6d your latter parallel (f*** s*****) is the right one IMO. That's how I parsed it.

I found 2d somewhat dubious and agree with you on "offer", but maybe it's there just to provide some humo(u)r. It's interesting that the first two words of the clue become "off erring" by shifting the space...I have a convoluted but almost surely wrong parsing based on that (by shuffling the last 4 letters of the answer you get another mishap word).
