Thanks to Arachne. Touching and kind tribute. Though the theme is no surprise to daily crossword solvers and visitors to 225.

The puzzle felt a bit unusual and different from most Prizes. I had a lot of trouble with two short clues. 7 parses clearly but a new usage to me. Not sure of 23, which must be a double definition ?A?E; I took the first definition to be an item of clothing but am not confident.

Really lovely puzzle today, a very sweet tribute full of references to 5a's interests and style.

I'm stumped by the parsing of 14d, how does "articulate solutions to clues" indicate the last five letters?

23 is not a double definition, it's a quite literal description.

it's a sounds like "solutions to clues", though the word is used in different ways but different solvers.

23d is the cover for 5 as it forms it is often "ground"

Thanks, I see 23 now. Considered that one but had rejected it for some reason.

A lovely tribute. I think this is the earliest on a Saturday that I've ever finished the crossword. As always thanks for the tips.
