Having trouble with 19d (Affected with desire, cut to a point that’s not fine) I think I have the first four letters but I can’t make a word when I add a fifth.

Patch49, if you're on to the correct word, the fifth letter is the one that makes the word into an adjective, in order to fit the part of speech of the definition.

defn - affected with desire - word play adding abbrev for fine would make 'cut to a point' (new word for me)...don't forget that there are clashing cells...

Nice puzzle. The only minor niggle is the three letter thematic word. I could at a push have three options. The best, which is in Bradfords, and second best, a book better known by its film title, don't, to my mind, strictly conform with the "seven appropriately presented" requirement. The third is an obscure wind band piece!

If I was a submitter I guess I'd go for the first...

I have a 3-letter word which is appropriately presented and which , combined with my 4-letter word, is reminiscent of 'The Herb Garden'
