Thank you all for your posts. I had 4d left to fill in, and was fairly confident it was a double def, but still couldn't see it. The comment about the first two words being thematic did the trick. I'm old enough to remember the first moon landing.

Finished without any help from the forum so it must have been an easier one this week.
I solved 4d from the second half of the clue, googled it and realised it was a dd.
Loved 1d, 12a and 15d

MPRS. I got married a couple of weeks after the first moon landing!

Yes easy to fill in but I was baffled by the parsing of 11ac, 14ac, 21ac, 3d. And does 24ac work?. Fun and quick to fill in but frustrating when you can't work out why!

Hi Terry,

I agree that "craving" is a bit of a stretch and it's not supported by Chambers.

11a - 3 letter "A1" as in 'fab' goes around "made" reversed/bends.

14a - If you read the answer in reverse you get "boss" from 2,1's then 5 letter "sore"

21a - "Queen" is the feline type around A R(are)

3d - Single letter "November" then 3 letter "before" then 2 letter "papers".

Sorry Terry, 11a is an anagram of "made" in A1.

The OED has (for the word in 24), ‘a violent feeling, passion or appetite’ which fits with ‘craving’ a little better than the Chambers entry perhaps
