In 19A, surely the tax is letters 3 to 6?
I've never used tinyurl before, but hope this works https://tinyurl.com/bnka3awc

Overall, an easier Prize than normal I thought :-)

Pretty easy, though I needed the pointers here for 4d. I haven't parsed 14a.
Some quibbles: the surface of 13 doesn't make sense, "craving" doesn't seem right in 24a, the defining characteristic of 15d isn't the ice.
I've seen 12a before, but I still like it!

For 14a, just read your answer backwards as 2,1'1,5

Straightforward for the main part and the theme helped. Good fun I thought.
Minty’s explanation of the tax is the correct one. It’s given in Chambers, now obsolete in the UK.
Richard, for 4d think of stable as a noun not an adjective…

All done and enjoyed but needed the help on here for 4d and the parsing of some others. I’m happy with ‘ice’ as the definition for 15 Chrise; yes, it needs more than just that but I think it works as a wider definition of the product too. Still not sure about the wordplay in the early part of the clue for 21a though…

The "queen" isn't human.

All done and parsed - I found this one easier than usual, or maybe I was just on Crucible's wavelength

I'd never heard of the second definition of 15d, but with all the crossers & the first half, there wasn't much else it could be.

I've never seen 12a before, so that made me smile :)

Agree with the quibbles about craving in 24a. 2d bothers me a bit as well; it's a perfectly fair clue, just not very pleasing.
