You should be able to get a crosser for 5D if you read my remarks that 18A is a Trademarked thing that I have programmed ;)

5D is probably the most famous sequence in all of mathematics anyway... it's nothing mystic though, despite what people claim.

Hi PS

I did get 18ac from your hint and the last letter led me to the famous sequencer. I also got 16d, though it isn't green food.

Thanks for the hint on 24d. Why didn't I think of that? Doh!

Are my letters right for 5ac - I can't parse it - F?R?E?S

Similarly, does 23d start with a B? If so what is the definition?

One more bash before I give up. I won't get time to do much tomorrow as I'm back to Budleigh for two more authors. I especially enjoyed Tim Harford yesterday.

5A is wrong... the R is not correct... 6D is another trademark/tradename.

23D does start with B and the definition is "with big curves". It's quite funny when you work it out!

Hi Roof,

23d - Yes, it begins with B

It's a 2 letter "steer" (noun_ inside 3 letter "curvy part" (if the body?) and definition is "with big curves"

Enjoy Budleigh:-)

I also thought 16D was not green food, kind of yellow or white but I guess green ones exist if they aren't dried?

In my experience, "16d soup" (3 words) is green.

I suppose they come in green, red and yellow varieties.

You probably also need to get 25A (I got it by typing in the first two words and letting google autocomplete do its magic) before working out 23D.

In fact all of your letters apart from the first are wrong for 5A :(
