Thanks, Chrise and Mathi. Yes, I was a bit slipshod on my anagram. Very straightforward after that!

I really enjoyed this offering from Paul, especially after last week’s brain- scrambler! My FOI was 10a, LOI was 16a. Difficult to nominate a COD as many are on a par, but I’m going to go with 16d, both for its simplicity and because they are such a useful thing!

I often find Paul's crosswords quite difficult so I was pleased that this was a bit easier than usual. That said, I fell for the elephant trap in 14d and put 'turn', which then had me trying to figure out what overpaid playboys had to do with a town in Belgium😫

no-one has responded to my questioning of the definition in 26 - "where"? it's not a place!

Paul does a similar thing with 'where' in 16d

Chrise, sorry for not commenting earlier about 26a. I guess it's a little loose but I thought of it as reasonable wordplay, I certainly didn't pause before putting this answer in

I suppose ‘where’ can refer to an emotional state, as in ‘where are you in your relationship?’. Chambers relates ‘where’ to ‘in what condition’

This could not have been more of a contrast to last week. Very straightforward, I thought. FOI 1ac. LOI 23. COD 10 - but I do like an anagram! And 22 is in the Scilly Isles - my trip there being the only time I have been on a helicopter. Lovely place.

Took me a while and I had the wrong fruit for 11A.

I had the wrong answer for 15A as well I think, I had something beginning with H.

Apart from that fairly straightforward but struggled in top left corner.

26A is from the (old fashioned now I guess) phrase "going 26A" as in stable relationship
