Only stuck on 3 down - I though it would be 'onager', but that doesn't fit with 10 across (which starts with a C). Unless I have 10 across wrong, which seems unlikely.
Maybe this forum should be renamed crossword showing off forum. Not made any progress today and the forum comments are more about how well a person has done, and less about hints to solve. Very obscure comments, harder than the original clues.
