I’ve followed this forum for ages but only posted once. Now, with help of some hints here I’m within one of finishing a bumper grid for the first time ... Is a hint possible for 6d please? I have -u-im, is that right .... and I tally it as not themed?

Hi JMcK, you have the correct crossers, no theme words, it’s a Jewish celebration

Hi jock, it’s a Jewish festival? One of the words in the clue needs to be “turned”

A clue for 3 please and how does 29 parse. Then I’m done and I can watch the boat races!

Holy mackerel! Still going on Easter Sunday. Would never have got this far without this forum, Google and Crossword Solver as so many words I didn't know. But I'm flagging and keen to wrap up now.

5d despite hints here no idea
Just got 6d thanks
Can't see 18a

@ 85: 18 first two words are the definition. One L inside a fool.

3d is the odd letters of frost with a theme word embedded
29 is a theme word embedded in some of the letters from Toxteth (not my favourite)
5d final letter of ancestry with a phrase ‘to call’ (two words) around, all after a theme word. I can’t quite make the definition work... anyone?

No I can't make it work. I also had 22a slightly wrong which didn't help for ages.

I wish as I post this I was a robot then I might have solved it quicker.

A lovely day here, so not much time for finishing the crossword, but following help from a friend in Sheffield (we share results every Sunday morning) we'd got all but 5d and I wasn't sure about 13ac. However after reading the latest on the thread I've got 5d, though the definition is a bit odd. And I'm guessing 13ac must be right despite difficulty parsing two letter answer round theme word. Does anyone understand the answer to 5d?

Lots of words I'd never heard before.
