Interesting. I'm early to this today and was rattling through the top half before hitting a bit of a wall. Thought I'd look on here to see what folks were saying. FOI was 11 and much flowed from there but I fear I will be back. Last Spiral tonight so pressure's on.

Stuck on the SW corner...
20a) Most difficult son with ultimate challenge (8)
Maybe it includes "test"?

16d) Seeing curvy figure providing cover for OK! (8)
Maybe something in the newsagents?

Thanks chrise for help with 16 and 20. I’ve now completed it but not sure of my parsing for 21d. I think the definition is ‘high’ but I can’t see where tablet comes in

To be honest, Adnarim, I have the tablet, but I'm struggling to justify the second letter. "Midnight" is usually G, but it doesn't seem to be in this one (unless I've got it wrong!)

Hi everyone

I've read all the clues and got none! It must be difficult.

I've read through the thread and now have 6d. I've had a busy afternoon trying to avert a builder from digging up a Judas tree on his land that makes a pictureque backdrop to our back garden. Why do developers hate trees?

Onwards and upwards. I'll be back.

Re 21d, I had the tablet as the first letter, the next four as around midnight (fairly loose) and the final letter for date. So no anagram just a charade. I could be wrong

Ah, I took the DATE as an anagram - yours works better!
