Looks lovely! A lot like Azed’s Eightsome reels? Thanks for posting.

I had to turn around two answers on the right hand side before it was done.
Some clues took a couple of readings to understand the clever wordplay.

That did take some work.
Last one in was 2. Even with the check letters couldn't see it for the longest time.
Clue of the month - the clean-cut agent at 36 !

Thanks, Syzygy and Sunray. Quite engrossing, and took me more time than I'd like to admit. Tricky when several, eg 12,13, 37 can be entered either way.
The definition for 36 always trips me up.
I had to resort to checking off the perimeter letters to get my last one, 30.

Thanks again syzygy and sunray, quite tricky in places with some real belting clues of which my favourites include 7, 22, 30, 36 & for me 43*.

You are right - 43 wins !

After all, they need a place for some down-time. ;-)

Fun but struggling, for example with 21 and 22. Any nudge appreciated.
Also wondering if any USA things are holding me back, do 10, 20 and 39 need American general knowledge or not!

22. is a homonym.

10. Don't know the exact parsing. But shows here are held at 4 pm before airing after 10 pm.

20. Develop is the def. EE for electrical engineering.

39. Left in Film is replaced. Big Rock is def.
