Carnaby St (London) is famous for fashion. Lock up credit cards, or run!

Thanks rosalind.
Last year when I visited London, I went to Oxford Street but did not go to Carnaby Street.

Saved a lot of money.

Thanks everyone. Finished. Very nice, my only quibble is with the Mexican wrap, not a common word as promised by the setter.
Sunray, Carnaby Street here in London, as alluded to by matron in post 27, was particularly successful in the late 60s, hence would have provided clothes for ‘mods’.

I suspect the word for "wrap" is fairly, or much more common in America, Lumen. I thin it's only when you do these puzzles you realise how different (and fascinating) our two versions of English are!
One time in one of these puzzles, "gun" was used to clue BB. Completely stumped me. But apparently BBs are very common air guns in America.
