Enjoyed this, took a while to get the correct theme (was sure it was Picasso) and fairly confident I've got the right answers but if I have 25dn right it doesn't work properly. The theme part comes first and does not surround as the others do. Still, much better than some.
Hi teenieleek, I imagine your 25d is correct as I don't see an alternative assuming your crossers are correct. I get it complying with the other thematics but I'm not finding it easy to give a hint that won't spoil it for others at this early stage.
Blignop, the artist's name is/has been treated as indicated by PART OF THE TITLE . The other entries are entered as 'indicated by the title', ie the whole thing.
Thanks both, and I can see that the first two words of the title may work but can't seem to fit it with the "two clued lights, symmetrically opposite each other" and presumably the first name is the fuller, less ordinary version.
I think you might be on the wrong track(!), blignop. It's definitely the usual name we need. Think of how many letters you'll need for that, it'll cut down the number of answers you'll need to look at.
Hi Malone.
I'm way out of my crease and completely stumped by this specie.
Can you give me a hint or two and perhaps the answer to 1a so that I can get started.
