LEGLIN looks ok, anagram of Nigella minus the a - and a milking pail in Scotland, don't get the ravine reference though!

STIEVE also looks ok, Steve with an i in, and it's an alternative spelling of steeve - stiff, firm, sturdy.

Hi Brendan/Orid

Both correct – leglin (Scottish) milking pail – double definition – Nigella almost stewed and leg (cricket) on plus lin (alternative for linn) ravine.
My Chambers has it under steeve (or stieve).
Presume from title (classic FM track) that the track is required.

Re leglin obviously meant double word play (not definition)

Thanks crates,
I thought by convention the definition was always at the start or end of the clue, obviously not in this case, well worked out.

Hi, Brendan (and others),

As the composition in question was released as a vinyl seven-inch single, I'd be very surprised if we needed to state the name of the album on which the piece also originally appeared (the album was released about three weeks after the single). The title of the B-side would also appear on the label, but I'm sure that this isn't needed either.

Can anyone help with the parsing of 24 please?
Frantically hurried round Asda, say, without waving purses ___ ...
I've taken a stab at E for the last barred letter, with the definition being "frantically hurried". I can see Asda may be store, and maybe 'without waving' = delete S, but that's about it.

Ach, dammit. I'm always failing to spot compound anagrams.

Thank you, gem94, much appreciated.
