Found it good fun. Think it is fine to have a gentle one occaisionally. Might help to attract more people to attempt the challenge. Thanks Aelfre.

Totally agree! Nice to have a circular grid for a change.
I am stuck on 43 - That is in dropping of savage (not male). 4 letters. I think it must be SCAT but don't understand it.

I think it's 'That is in dropping' is the definition, and the wordplay is:-

SCAT(he) = Savage minus male

Thanks Brendan. I did consider that but somehow the clue didn't quite fit together.

I think I must have a mistake somewhere as the radial between 3 and 4 now has the letters S M A E D L .... don't make a word either way?

Bunty - that radial contains unchecked letters and so doesn't make a word.

Ah, thanks, I think there was possibly another one too bet 13 and 14 ??

Although the one bet 18 and 19 did make a word??

Glad this week was straightforward as I had to work all day and didn't start until 10PM. Am I correct that this is the only circular puzzle we've had this year?

With regard to 43, I think that this is a "double wordplay" clue, as "that is" can give SC (abbreviation for scilicet) and one of the many meanings for "in" given by Chambers is AT. The other wordplay, as already noted, is SCAT(he) for "savage (not male)", and the definition is "dropping" (or perhaps the whole clue can be the definition).

I particularly liked the clue for 9, which took a little time for the penny to drop.

last step: Title of track or Album? Label as expected or the one bearing name of composer? Are the marks just scratches?
