Nothing to suggest it is the album and the puzzle title itself says track. Scratches give the label. My "no chambers" situation persists so can someone confirm porr and lealin (or nilael) are real words? Also not sure of first letter of 42. Ta.

You need to change one letter in 'porr' and one in 'lealin' to get the correct answers. The answer to 42 has three different meanings, all mentioned in the clue. Hope this helps!

Rrrobbo - you can get Chambers as an app for iOS or Android systems for (I think) £7.99. Well worth it even if Santa does oblige with the hard copy. Also available from Windows store but seems dearer.

Thanks for the advice gem94. I'll probably plump for that if Santa let's me down. Think my eyes struggled with the circles as I missed the e off the end of a character, starting the next too early, hence the error in 4. I assume I have the 2nd letter wrong in 25? i have what I thought were concrete answers fir 14,15,16 and 17 but now I am worried!

Bunty, I'm intrigued to know what your 'word' is in the unchecked radial between 18 and 19. I can't parse 32 or 26 and I definitely can't see a potential word forming in the radial!

Hi, orientfan,

In 32, "joint" can be represented by the abbreviation J and "dope" can mean ASS. JASS is an old spelling for jazz, and "gutbucket" is a variety of jazz.

In 26, we have LA (meaning "look" as an interjection) inside EN ("nut" is printers' slang for an en-space, just as "mutton" is slang for an em-space).

Thanks wintonian. All clear now, the synonym for nut and j for joint are in Chambers but I'd never come across them before.

Can anyone confirm if these are correct:-

4 Nigella nearly stewed in Ayrshire bucket on ravine (6) - LEGLIN

11 One man engages Scots firm (6) - STIEVE (I can only find is as an adjective ending in LY)

Also, is it the track title, not the album it's on, that is required?
