Entertaining Crossword , but a worn out theme IMHO

Yes - a lot appeared in a Bank Holiday alphabetical not long ago.

Two I haven't parsed:

11a Record first put on tape a non-starter for visionary (10)
I have a "visionary"

16d Across middle, regular parts lost among rocks (8)
Only one word fits, but even the definition seems a bitty iffy for this one

10a passage is the defn ... it sounds like a synonym for rough/vulgar

12a m + desperation anagrammed

1d 5 letter word for reserve with s(sum originally) inside

2d 6 letter word for enviromentalists (5 letter is a colour too) + electoral area

8 a word for minus + one of the themed instances + l definition is imaginary

10 last letter in flag preceded by an issue with number as definition

12 word for very reversed + something killed
