Does anybody know which Brewers (and which edition) we should be looking at? I have several Brewers but I've drawn a blank. Have just got the answers to 5a, 37a, 1d and 27d to figure out. I know that they're all entries that need adjusting and I know what the final grid entry for 1d is but the rest of it is a mystery. Any hints would be much appreciated!

I found them in my 18th edition
I never had the original 1d ... should be some sort of organ but i can't see it

Thank you so much, I've finished it now, my version is quite a bit older.

The original answer for 1d is serpent, malicious person and also a wind instrument. Sent is old currency in Estonia and ripe is somewhat indecent.

Always so easy when you know the answer!

Come to this one late, as I spent a long time (and needed considerable help) finishing 1219.

40a Including yen, all dosh strangely not accepted in bank (6) LL?YD?
(grid entry could be answer or patron saint for whom answer is symbol)

Just looked at these again, and can't understand why I didn't see them earlier? All finished now
